Broadcasting giants ESPN Star Sports and ABS-CBN Sports are set to air WPA World Ten Ball Championship (WTBC), the biggest international billiards tournament this year, to the Philippines.
A report posted on AZBilliards.com said ESPN Star Sports, co- organizer of the inaugural staging of the WTBC, will air the event live from the Philippine International Convention Center from 3 to 7 p.m. (Manila time) for a total of 28 hours on the duration of the tournament.
The tournament will run from September 29 -October 5.
ABS CBN Sports, through its free channel Studio 23, will air the games on a delayed basis.
From September 29 to October 3 , Studio 23 will broadcast the games from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.The last two days of the event will be telecasted from 9 :30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The WTBC also forged a tie up with ABS-CBN’s The Filipino Channel, bringing the games closer to overseas Filipino workers around the world.
